Therapy for anxiety

Living with anxiety can be debilitating. You may be constantly feeling “on edge”. You may have also noticed that you are having increased difficulty relaxing, watching tv, or doing things you normally do. This may be a sign that it is time to reach out for help, so you can finally relax into yourself and your life again. 

In therapy, we will dive deeper into what may be triggering your anxiety. We will also  equip you with the tools so that you feel more confident in managing anxiety in your daily life. After going through therapy for a period of time, clients often experience less worrying and more enjoyment in their life.

Therapy for depression

Depression can be overwhelming and frightening. You may notice that you feel like you have a dark cloud over you. Your thoughts and feelings may also be more negative than before. When we are in it, it can be difficult to see a way out.  Whether you are going through a major life change, experiencing grief or a major loss, or going through any type of significant stress, this can often trigger symptoms of depression. 

Therapy can be useful in helping you get to the root of why you may be feeling this way. Depression often causes distortions in our thoughts that lead us to be more self-critical, experience more self-doubt, or feel hopeless. In therapy, we will target these thoughts and find ways to see things in a more truthful and realistic way. We will also work together to build a lifestyle that is healthy and preventative in nature.

Therapy for complex trauma

If you were a victim of childhood trauma or any type of abuse, neglect and/or grief, you may be experiencing complex trauma. You may be struggling with low self-esteem and constant self-doubt. You may also have difficulty in your relationships and find it impossible to let people in and truly see you. 

In therapy, we will explore the impact these events have had on you. We will look at how these experiences impact how you feel about the world around you and how you feel about yourself. Through therapy, we will heal the shame, grief and self-doubt these experiences caused and help you reclaim your power.

Therapy for Teens

You may be feeling worried about your teen due to a change in their personality or behavior. Maybe they are isolating themselves in their room, withdrawing from others, and not engaging socially as they used to. They may also be refusing to go to school or not performing to their full potential. 

If this is the case, your teen may be struggling with anxiety and/or depression. Therapy can be a helpful outlet to develop the tools and resilience to manage the stressors that accompany this stage.
